AccorHotels, the world's leading hotel operator and market leader in Europe, announces its second international Hackathon. After Moscow and Warsaw, this event, co-organized with the international innovation hub NUMA, will be held in Budapest on June 8-10 and will gather more than 100 participants from Central and Eastern Europe.
The “Leading Digital Hospitality” plan is AccorHotels’ global response to digital challenges, in a market defined by the accelerated pace of technological change and the fast evolution of customer usage. AccorHotels will dedicate additional resources to innovation, through open innovation platforms and by organizing technological events to collect new and innovative ideas in hospitality industry.
Taking place in Novotel Budapest City, this 48-hours hackathon is dedicated to the “Room of the Future”. More than 100 participants - developers, designers, startupers - are expected to reinvent the guest experience in hotel rooms, from the first impression to interaction with staff and local environment.
In this premium premises, each participant will have access to experts from AccorHotels management, local entrepreneurs, technical & UI/UX experts. They will meet with the best mentors and advisors to boost their ideas and get a chance to win one of the many prizes offered by AccorHotels and its partners.
The 3 main winners, one for each category (Well-being, Communication, WOW effect) will be offered a trip to Paris to meet with innovation managers at AccorHotels headquarter and the opportunity to start a pilot with Novotel Budapest City.
