Description

On behalf of the American College of Perioperative Medicine and MIT Hacking Medicine, you are invited to participate in our Hackathon titled the Surgical Healthcare Challenge. It will be taking place in Irvine, California at the Edwards LifeSciences Campus on September 29-30, 2018.

Surgical Healthcare Challenge | September 29-30, 2018 | Irvine, CA

WHY: While surgical and anesthesia care in the US is exceptional in many respects, some areas could be significantly improved. To address some of the challenges we plan to hold a 48-hour hackathon.
100 HACKERS/ATTENDANTS will be organized in teams of 3-7 individuals. Each team will be assigned 1-2 mentors.
TEAMS will consist of doctors, patients, STUDENTS, nurses, engineers, developers, designers, business people, insurance, and policy experts.
PRIZES: A total of up to $35,000 will be given to the top 3 teams.
COST: Early Bird discount ends on September 15, 2018.
